Inter Miami sign Alexander Shaw on short-term deal from Inter Miami II | OneFootball

Inter Miami have signed midfielder Alexander Shaw on a short-term agreement from their MLS NEXT Pro side Inter Miami II. The club said in a statement that the 17-year-old will be available for today’s match against Orlando City SC at Inter&Co Stadium.

Shaw is an academy product currently featuring for Inter Miami II. He made his professional debut for the side last July and has continued to progress within the club.

In his first season at professional level with Inter Miami II, he made 13 appearances and recorded two assists.

He recently appeared for the first team during the opening fixture of the club’s Champions Tour against Alianza Lima, coming on in the second half.

Shaw remained involved across pre-season, making further substitute outings against Barcelona SC and earning a start against Independiente del Valle in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.

Under MLS rules, short-term agreements allow clubs to loan in players from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Canadian Championship and exhibition matches.
