Inter Miami have officially announced the signing of Mexico international forward German Berterame as a Designated Player.
According to interheron.com, the 27-year-old is contracted through the 2028-29 MLS season, with an option for 2029-30.
During his time with Monterrey, Berterame scored more than 65 goals in 153 appearances.
He joins an attack featuring Lionel Messi, Mateo Silvetti, Tadeo Allende and Luis Suarez. Last season, that quartet led the Herons to their first MLS Cup in club history.
With Allende re-signed and Messi looking fitter than ever, his arrival arguably gives Miami one of the league’s most dangerous forward lines.
A technically gifted striker, he will be a consistent goal threat for Miami, noted for his positioning, movement and link-up play. He will thrive alongside Messi.
Miami were at their best when Messi had pace and mobile wingers ahead of him, making runs in behind the opposition defence. Berterame gives the World Cup winner another lethal option in front of goal.
