Inter Milan enter race for Premier League target Andy Diouf | OneFootball

Internazionale Milan have entered the race for RC Lens midfielder Andy Diouf (22), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Diouf has been a target for several clubs this summer, with Crystal Palace and Napoli having been linked. Napoli looked to be the most advanced, with Foot Mercato writing that the reigning Serie A champions had sent him a contract offer.

However, Romano explains that Napoli sent a €20m offer to Lens, but this fell short of the club’s asking price. Inter have sent a proposal which looks more promising, and is valued at above €20m. Inter, in parallel, have also entered into talks with the player.

Lens had begun clearing the way for an exit this summer when they signed Mamadou Sangaré (23) from Rapid Wien in an €8m transfer. Diouf looks set to leave the north of France, having arrived with a lot of promise, but having struggled to live up to expectations.
