Serie A giants Inter Milan have been afforded a much-needed boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that star frontman Marcus Thuram on Monday began to ramp up his injury recovery efforts.
Thuram, for his part, has been sidelined since April 18th, owing to an adductor issue suffered during a training session alongside the rest of Simone Inzaghi’s squad.
The France international was forced to sit out each of Inter’s last three fixtures as a result.
And to say that his absence was sorely felt would be putting it lightly, with the Nerazzurri having fallen to a trio of successive defeats, failing to score a solitary goal along the way.
All associated with the reigning Italian champions, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word stemming from Inter’s training ground.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘The French striker trained on his own on Monday, but according to the local media present at the training session it was at high intensity and the team’s plan is to incorporate him into the group this Tuesday, in time for him to travel to Barcelona.’
Inter and Barca are primed to lock horns in the first leg of a highly-anticipated Champions League semi-final tie at Montjuïc on Wednesday.
