Inter Milan Open Talks With Genoa For Belgian Defender | OneFootball

Inter Milan are pushing ahead with their transfer plans for the summer and have already opened talks with Genoa over the signing of defender Koni De Winter.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are keen to bolster their defensive options and have settled on De Winter as their ideal target.

The Belgium international has enjoyed two positive seasons with the Grifone, having initially joined on loan from Juventus in 2023, and Inter believe he is ready to make the step up.

With Francesco Acerbi set to turn 38 this season and Stefan De Vrij into the final year of his contract at the club, Inter are seeking long-term defensive options to partner Alessandro Bastoni at the heart of their backline.

At 23-years-old and with 68 Serie A appearances across stints with Genoa and Empoli, De Winter fits the bill and Inter are optimistic that they can land him.
