Inter Milan are targeting Branimir Mlacic and Marco Palestra as part of a wider plan to rejuvenate the squad, with Aleksandar Stankovic and Tarik Muharemovic also firmly on the club’s radar.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter have identified four young profiles to shape the next phase of their project.

On the right flank, Marco Palestra is viewed as the ideal long-term replacement for Denzel Dumfries.

While the move is mainly planned for next season, Inter could look to accelerate talks with Atalanta.

Indeed, with the Corriere noting that “perhaps the opportunity for a discussion could come during Sunday night’s match at the Gewiss Stadium.”

The situation is clearer for Aleksandar Stankovic.

Inter retain a buy-back clause set at €22m for the summer of 2026 and €25m for 2027, secured at the time of his move to Club Brugge.

In defence, attention has turned to Tarik Muharemovic of Sassuolo and Branimir Mlacic from Hajduk Split.

Talks for Mlacic are described as “very advanced” with both his entourage and the Croatian club.

Furthermore, the paper add that “the most recent contact was very recent indeed.”

Therefore, to the point where an immediate signing cannot be ruled out.

Muharemovic’s case is more complex due to strong competition and a resale clause held by Juventus.

However, Inter’s strong relationship with Sassuolo could prove decisive.

A left-footed centre-back remains a priority, especially if Stefan de Vrij pushes for an exit.
