Inter Milan scout fringe Real Madrid star, ready to offer €12 million – report | OneFootball

With Thibaut Courtois being unavailable due to gastroenteritis, Andriy Lunin made his first appearance of the season for Real Madrid last night against Olympiacos.

While the Ukrainian international ended up conceding three goals, there was not much he could have done to stop them and did put in a decent performance otherwise, making some good saves.

Now, according to Defensa Central, scouts from Inter Milan were attendance in Athens last night to watch Lunin in action for Real Madrid.

The Nerazzurri are searching for a goalkeeper for next season given their current situation. Yann Sommer is 37 years old and has been heavily criticised this season.

Mike Maignan of AC Milan is their preferred option. While he will be available for free, he is demanding a very high salary. Moreover, Premier League clubs such as Chelsea are interested in signing him.

This has led Inter to consider other options, and Lunin is seen as someone who fits fits their needs well.

The Ukrainian finds himself in a delicate situation at Real Madrid and could settle comfortably in Serie A, where the Italian giants would guarantee him the starting role in a top league.

Lunin is highly rated within Inter Milan, to the point that an scout from the club travelled to Greece specifically to watch the Real Madrid goalkeeper. They knew he would start and did not want to miss the chance.

As per the report, Inter could offer around €10-12 million for Lunin in the summer of 2026 and would also promise him a starting berth. It will then be up to the player and Real Madrid to decide whether they stick together or part ways.
