Inter Milan seal 21st Scudetto with 2-0 win over Parma | OneFootball

Inter Milan sealed their 21st Serie A title with a 2-0 win over Parma at San Siro. According to Le Progres, it is their third scudetto in six years after being pipped by Napoli by one point last season.

Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock on 45+1, then Henrikh Mkhitaryan added a second on 80. The victory, in the 35th round, leaves them out of reach.

With three matches remaining, Inter lead Napoli by 12 points and AC Milan by 15.

The season is not over. Inter could complete a league and Coppa Italia double, for the third time in their history after 2005-06 and 2009-10, if they beat Lazio in the final on 13 May at the Stadio Olimpico.

The triumph already vindicates the decision to entrust the team to Cristian Chivu, the former Inter defender who took over in June with only a handful of Serie A matches as a coach, succeeding Simone Inzaghi after his surprise move to manage Al-Hilal.

Even if they were to do the double, Inter, led by captain Lautaro Martinez, Serie A top scorer with 16 goals, would not fully erase their Champions League collapse.
