Djed Spence, who struggled on loan at Leeds United, is being considered by Inter Milan, the 2025/26 Serie A champions, after their preferred wing-back move fell through. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian club have added the Tottenham full-back to their shortlist.
Inter had a €30million, £25.6m, agreement for Union Saint-Gilloise’s Anan Khalaili but the transfer collapsed after a failed medical. Any move for Spence is expected to be costly given his recent form.
Spence joined Leeds on loan from Tottenham in summer 2023 and made seven appearances before a break clause was triggered when the January window opened.
A six-month spell at Bologna also failed to ignite, but his return to Spurs brought a revival. Over the next two years he played 55 Premier League games, starting 42, and earned an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup, featuring in wins over Mexico and Norway.
The Athletic reports that Everton are also interested as they seek to replace Seamus Coleman, who left when his contract expired this summer.
Spence departed Leeds in January 2024 after injuries hampered momentum. Daniel Farke said then the club chose to end the loan, avoided criticising the player, praised his potential and highlighted a standout display in the win at Ipswich.
