On Sunday, nine Serie A fixtures will simultaneously take place, but the San Siro showdown between Inter Milan and Lazio is the pick of the lot.
This contest will kick off at 20:45 local time.
Simone Inzaghi will miss the services of club captain Lautaro Martinez, as well as Davide Frattesi who failed to recover in time. Yann Sommer will reclaim his usual place between the sticks, while Yann Bisseck, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni should form the backline. Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco will take the flanks.
Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu are expected to start in the middle of the park, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the favorite to join them after overcoming a slight injury concern, so Piotr Zielinski should be relegated to the bench. In Lautaro’s absence, Mehdi Taremi will link up with Marcus Thuram upfront.
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Taremi.
Marco Baroni has been deprived of the services of Mattia Zaccagni and Luca Pellegrini who will be serving a one-match ban. Patric remains on the sidelines, but the good news is that Nuno Tavares has returned to group training. Gustav Isaksen and Manuel Lazzari had some physical issues during the week, but they have seemingly recovered.
