Rumors of a surprise transfer of Jamal Musiala to Galatasaray Istanbul have caused quite a stir in recent days. Now, the Turkish record champions have spoken out themselves—and put a definitive end to the speculation.

The discussions were sparked by several reports from Turkey claiming that Galatasaray was actively working to sign the Bayern star. According to these reports, a loan deal lasting until the summer of 2027 was even on the table.

The reasoning behind the alleged plans: Musiala, who is still working to regain his top form following his serious injury, was supposed to get regular playing time in Istanbul and then return to FC Bayern stronger than ever.

Galatasaray denies the reports

Shortly after the reports were published, significant doubts had already emerged from Germany. BILD reported that neither Jamal Musiala himself nor FC Bayern had any interest in such a loan deal.

Now Galatasaray has also officially responded. In a press release, the top Turkish club stated unequivocally: “The reports claiming that our club has reached an agreement with Jamal Musiala and Bayern Munich are not true.”

With this clear statement, the matter should finally be put to rest. It is rare for clubs to respond to transfer rumors with an official statement. This makes the denial all the more significant.

Second official denial within a few weeks

It is also noteworthy that this is already the second official denial by a top European club regarding a Bayern player within a short period of time.

Just a few weeks ago, Real Madrid issued an official statement rejecting reports that the club was looking to sign Michael Olise. There, too, club officials made it clear that the speculation was completely unfounded.

For FC Bayern, the Musiala denial means one thing above all: The Munich club can continue its planning without any new distractions. The attacking star remains a central part of Vincent Kompany’s team and is set to be gradually brought back to his best form following his injury.

A loan move to Istanbul was therefore never a realistic scenario—neither from the player’s perspective nor that of FC Bayern or Galatasaray. The official statements from the Turkish record champions have now put an end to the recent speculation once and for all.
