Midfielder could be set for an Old Trafford exit

Two sides have registered their interest in Casemiro as the midfielder prepares to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

The Brazilian announced that he would depart Old Trafford upon the expiration of his contract.

That was particularly the case after his star showing against Aston Villa, where he scored in a 3-1 win that solidified the Red Devils’ place in the chase for Champions League qualification.

The victory took Carrick’s men clear of the Villans in third, although the gap was closed last weekend after they stumbled to a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

Now, The Athletic report that there are two Major League Soccer franchises interested in signing the veteran when he does eventually move on from the north west.

They are LA Galaxy and Inter Miami - both teams which United legend David Beckham has an interest in.

Beckham moved to LA in 2007 from Real Madrid in a historic transfer, and he then went on to co-found Miami, where he is a co-owner.

The report details that Casemiro is on both clubs’ radars, with Miami identifying him as a potential replacement for the former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, who retired at the end of the last MLS campaign.

Miami still have Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in their squad, as well as the former Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon.
