The Jadon Sancho deal has been a hot topic for several weeks.
After reaching an agreement with Manchester United, Roma failed to reach an agreement with the English winger, thus having to turn to Tyrique George.
A situation that, between real news and rumors, has remained unclear. And the intermediary in the negotiations, Vincenzo Morabito, has shed light on the situation.
He told Radio CRC: “We started negotiations with Roma, we proposed a loan with an obligation to buy, which was the most advantageous offer for Roma. From there, the ordeal with Massara’s management began, which ended in nothing. Sancho never reiterated his ‘no’ to Roma, nor did Roma’s management hear the player’s ‘no’.”
“When a player speaks through his agent, the financial aspect also plays a role,” Morabito added.
“As of today, we can say that the deal has stalled. While negotiations for Sancho were still ongoing, the agent pulled the 2006 Chelsea player George out of his hat, for whom the English club asked for €25 million. Gasperini will have asked for more, and Roma’s expectations are higher.”
