Paul Pogba has resumed partial training with Monaco, and the international break could decide whether he makes the teamsheet this spring. According to L'Équipe, the 2018 World Cup winner has rejoined group work in recent days.
He was on the grass at La Turbie on Friday morning but did not complete the full session. Pogba has been sidelined for nearly four months with a calf issue and has played only 30 minutes this season.
Coach Sébastien Pocognoli said short-term targets are on track, with the break offering two weeks to build fitness. The plan is for Pogba to keep reintegrating collective sessions, and any date for a competitive return will depend on this period.
Team-mate Thilo Kehrer praised his attitude, noting he is often first in and last out, and that confidence in his body is growing after such a long absence. He added that progress is not linear, but Pogba remains positive and demanding of himself.
Any comeback would be a bonus for a midfield coping well without him despite Denis Zakaria’s shift to centre-back. Lamine Camara has taken charge since returning from AFCON, Aladji Bamba, 19, has impressed, and the versatile Mamadou Coulibaly and Jordan Teze offer further options. Seven league matches remain to chase Europe.
