Simone Inzaghi and Antonio Conte will be handing over the reins to their assistant coaches Massimiliano Farris and Crristian Stellini this weekend.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the two head coaches will be serving touchline bans against Parma and Bologna.

Inter Milan and Napoli will continue their Serie A title race this weekend.

The two main title rivals will both be playing in Emilia-Romagna. Inter face Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini this evening, and Napoli have to wait until Monday to face Bologna away.

And both the Nerazzurri and the Partenopei will be without their coach on the touchline.

Both Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Napoli counterpart Antonio Conte are serving one-match suspensions this weekend.

Inter’s Inzaghi received a straight red card during last weekend’s Serie A match against Udinese.

Inzaghi had already been on a booking. But he got his marching orders after stepping onto the field to angrily complain to the referees.

The Nerazzurri coach would go on to admit that this was deserved.

Inzaghi’s second in command Massimiiano Farris will be on the touchline against Parma this evening.

Meanwhile, Napoli coach Antonio Conte received his fifth yellow card of the season in the frantic finale of his own team’s win over AC Milan last weekend.

Therefore, Cristian Stellini will deputize for Conte against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’ara.

And the Gazzetta note how Farris and Stellini are very much parallel figures.

Both are much more than mere assistants. They have similar temperaments and intensity to Inzaghi and Conte.

And there is even a similar win percentage.

Farris and Stellini have won nine out of eleven and ten matches respectively in which the head coach has been out with a ban.
