Simone Inzaghi is weighing a recall for Theo Hernandez, but only if the Al-Hilal full-back clears scheduled physical measurements.

Al-Riyadiyah reports that Inzaghi is considering naming him for Monday’s round of 32 tie against Al-Raed in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, provided he passes the tests.

Hernandez did not feature in the 4-2 win over Al-Faisaly at Kingdom Arena in the opening round of the Saudi Roshn League, with Muteb Al-Harbi starting instead.

Asked about the absence, Inzaghi said the defender returned late to training after featuring for France at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Frenchman was a trusted option last season and helped Al-Hilal lift the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup after joining from Milan last summer.

The squad are resting today, Saturday, and will resume on Sunday to prepare for their King’s Cup fixture.
