Ipswich Town attacker Lucy O’Brien has signed a new contract with the club.

The Tractor Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 22-year-old former England youth international was set to be out of contract this summer but she will now remain at Portman Road for the 2026/2027 season.

O’Brien has spent her entire senior career to date with Ipswich Town. She joined the club’s academy system before breaking into the senior team. The player was a FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title-winner with Ipswich Town in 2024/2025. O’Brien made 12 appearances for the Sussex side in Barclays WSL2 last season.

The attacker has plenty more to offer Ipswich Town and the club have therefore moved to agree fresh terms with O’Brien for the next 12 months.

After signing on again with Ipswich Town, O’Brien said “This club has been such a big part of my life since I first joined and I’m delighted to sign a new deal here.

“The team showed so much fight and togetherness last season and everyone is so eager to continue that progress and kick on in the year ahead.”

Further Ipswich Town squad news will be announced in due course.
