Sky Germany reports that newly promoted Ipswich Town are expressing interest in former Augsburg coach Sandro Wagner. A move could hand the 38-year-old a swift return to a Premier League dugout.

Ipswich are seeking a successor after Kieran McKenna left following promotion for personal reasons.

Wagner was dismissed by Augsburg last December, after which he reflected on his strengths and weaknesses.

The former Germany international won just four of his 14 matches in charge with the Bavarian club.
