Ipswich Town, promoted to the Premier League, have turned the loans of Chuba Akpom and Cédric Kipré into permanent deals.
The club said in a statement that Akpom made 31 appearances this season and scored against Hull City and Oxford United, goals it viewed as decisive in clinching promotion, while the same release carried Kipré’s message that he was honoured to represent the club in the Premier League and that it is his dream and he is very happy.
Akpom, on loan from Ajax and previously with Lille from January to June 2025, signed a permanent deal until 2029 on Tuesday.
Kipré, on loan from Stade de Reims, has agreed a contract to 2028. The 29-year-old, a PSG academy graduate, made 32 league appearances this season.
Ipswich finished second in the Championship with 84 points, ensuring automatic promotion to the top flight.
