Chelsea host Manchester City in the Premier League this afternoon in a match that could be pivotal in both the race for the title and the battle for Champions League football.
Following Arsenal’s shock defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday, Man City are nine point behind the Gunners but with two games in hand, including today’s clash, plus having Mikel Arteta’s side travel to the Etihad next weekend. Things could all turn so quickly for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Meanwhile, Chelsea come into the game having booked an FA Cup semi-final tie after last week’s 7-0 thrashing of Port Vale, but it isn’t all rosy at Stamford Bridge, with Liam Rosenior having suspended Enzo Fernandez and the Blues languishing in sixth, four points behind Liverpool above them.
Chelsea are without a league win since the 4-1 thrashing of Aston Villa over a month ago, and another defeat here would put a huge dent in their hopes of securing the final Champions League qualification spot.
The match is due to kick off at 4.30pm BST on Sunday 12 April at Stamford Bridge in London.
Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage on both channels from 4pm BST. A live stream will also be available via Sky Go or NOW.
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been ruled out of selection for this game after his controversial comments regarding a move away from the club. Reece James, Benoit Badiashile and Filip Jorgensen could all make a return, though Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill are all out until late next month.
For City, both John Stones and Ruben Dias will face late fitness tests, while Josko Gvardiol remains sidelined.
