Tottenham begin life under Roberto De Zerbi with a tricky trip to Sunderland as they search for crucial points in the Premier League relegation fight.

The former Brighton boss has been installed as the replacement for Igor Tudor and is tasked with steering Spurs to survival to salvage a wretched campaign having watched the club slip into the bottom three with West Ham’s win over Wolves on Friday night.

It is a potentially demanding start against a Sunderland side that has been strong at the Stadium of Light for much of the season, with a European place not at all out of reach for the hosts.

Regis Le Bris has done fine work after promotion from the Championship and will be eyeing a sprint to the finish.

Sunderland vs Tottenham is due to kick off at 2pm BST on Sunday 12 April at the Stadium of Light.

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage on the channel from 1pm BST. A live stream will be available via Sky Go or NOW.

Robin Roefs should bolster Regis Le Bris’s squad as Sunderland return to Premier League action. Nilson Angulo, Bertrand Traore and Romaine Mundle remain out, and Dan Ballard is unlikely to be risked.

Guglielmo Vicario underwent hernia surgery during the international break and appears set to miss out, with Antonin Kinsky due to deputise. Roberto De Zerbi appears likely to go for a back four. Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his recovery after returning to training and remains absent.
