Norwich City have been told they will still need to sign more attacking players despite the arrival of Lewis Dobbin.

Norwich City have been urged to bring in another attacking player despite the addition of Lewis Dobbin from Aston Villa.
The Canaries have had an inconsistent campaign so far, although three wins from the last four games leaves them just four points from the play-off places.
Therefore, there will be optimism that Norwich can push for promotion this season, although it’s clear that further additions are required if Johannes Hoff Thorup’s men are to last the distance.
One man who Norwich have already brought in is Dobbin, with the versatile forward joining from Aston Villa for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old was given his first taste of action in a yellow shirt last time out against Coventry, and he made a decent impact from the bench, as two late goals from Amankwah Forson sealed the points.
Whilst that was a positive introduction, Dobbin spent the first half of the campaign with West Brom, and it’s fair to say his time at The Hawthorns was underwhelming, as he failed to score in 17 appearances for the Baggies.
So, when asked by FLW whether that form was a concern, or if the club should be aiming higher, fan pundit Zeke explained that even though he will give Dobbin time to impress, he still expects another new face to arrive.
He said: “I think that he is an okay signing, but the fact he has struggled at West Brom isn’t a good sign because they’re not too much better than us, and I was hoping that we would be aiming a little bit higher.
“But, if he’s the one we are wanting, then that’s absolutely fine, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he does. He’s obviously highly thought of at Aston Villa.
“I would imagine we’re going to get another player as well in those attacking areas.”
On paper, Dobbin’s time at West Brom doesn’t look good, but it’s worth noting that many of those appearances were from the bench.
He will hope for a more prominent road with the Yellows, and he certainly did make his mark on Saturday as he helped the side to a crucial win after his introduction on the hour mark.
Nevertheless, most would agree with the assessment that Norwich still need more options in the final third.
Josh Sargent’s return from injury will be a welcome boost, but his fitness record is a concern, and there’s a possibility that Borja Sainz will be banned, which would obviously be a massive blow.
The recruitment team at Norwich deserve credit for finalising a deal for Dobbin swiftly, and Forson’s double against Coventry was a reminder that he has a lot of quality.
But, more is required if they are to finish in the top six this season, and it will be intriguing to see how much backing Thorup receives over the next few weeks.
