The Lilywhites face The Seagulls at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they bring their season to a conclusion.
Both Spurs and Brighton & Hove Albion have impressed with their performances and styles of play this season. When speaking in the pre-match press conference, Spurs boss Ho said that he is expecting a wonderful spectacle.
“They’ve always been a good team,” Ho said. “They have a wonderful squad with wonderful players. They’ve got some of the best – Fran Kirby is probably one of the best in women’s football.
“They’re well-gifted, well-organised and very fluid with the ball. They’re probably one of the best footballing teams in the league and they’ve really started to pick up momentum in the back end of the season. Credit to the players and Dario [Vidošić], especially after what he’s been through personally.
“Congratulations to them for getting to the FA Cup final. I know this will be a tough game, but it will be a wonderful spectacle for women’s football because both teams want to play and press. It’ll give us a great opportunity to play a wonderful game of football.”
Looking back on the season, Ho has been impressed with how his side have performed but says that as a club, they want more.
He said “I think it has been positive in numerous aspects. There has been a lot of learnings on the pitch and off the pitch, a lot of developments and I think it’s given us really strong foundations for the future.
“I’m pleased with how it’s gone but fifth doesn’t win you anything. We want to win, we want to compete, we want to win trophies, but I’m really proud of the players and staff for what they’ve done. We still have a lot of work to do.”
Looking ahead to pre-season, Ho summarised some of the things that he wants to see when everyone returns to work in the summer.
He said “I want to see players healthy and fit and people with a smile on their faces. People refreshed psychologically and physically and ready for an exciting season.
“I want people to have a real growth mindset and willing to learn, a staffing group that’s organised and efficient and then making sure that from a fan perspective, there’s a lot of excitement about the new players that will come into the building.”
Tottenham Hotspur’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Brighton & Hove Albion kicks-off at 1pm on Saturday afternoon.
