Italian journalist Riccardo Trevisani views Inter Milan as the likeliest candidates to win the Scudetto this season.
During the latest episode of Fontana di Trevi via FCInterNews, Trevisani cautioned the Nerazzurri about the growing threat posed by Roma.
Inter and Roma headed into the international break as joint Serie A leaders.
Though level on points, the San Siro giants currently occupy top spot, courtesy of a superior goal difference to Roma.
However, there’s no room for celebrations just yet, with the closest competitors still within striking distance.
Indeed, AC Milan and Napoli trail the leading duo by only two points after suffering fresh setbacks last weekend.
Furthermore, the Rossoneri will put Cristian Chivu’s credentials to the test immediately after the break.
San Siro will host the latest edition of the famous Derby della Madonnina on November 23, with the table’s summit at stake.
Inter can draw confidence from recovering several first-team stars for this blockbuster showdown, including Marcus Thuram.

“Roma, in 2025, are already Italian champions even before the remaining matches are played,” Trevisani stated. “73 points from 31 games, while the second-placed team has around 63.
“Ranieri had to fix the damage done by Juric and restore solidity and defensive organization.
“Roma have conceded only 15 goals with 18 clean sheets in 31 games – those are staggering numbers.”
Despite praising Roma’s phenomenal domestic form in 2025, Trevisani sees Inter as the frontrunners in the race.
“Roma never concede goals because they have a ‘Ufo Robot’ in goal,” he added. “Mancini is incredibly consistent, and Celik gets a 7 out of 10 every game.
“If I look at the squad, Inter win it – no question. But if I look at the numbers over the past eleven months, Roma are ahead.
“Who else concedes only half a goal per game? With half a goal per game, you win championships.”
