Italian journalist Riccardo Trevisani has hailed Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa following a superb display against Hellas Verona.

During the latest episode of the Trevi Fountain via FCInterNews, Trevisani addressed Simone Inzaghi’s squad rotations.

“Inzaghi believes in the strength of the group and that ‘all in’ is easier than ‘all out,” he stated.

Joaquin Correa finally made the starting line-up on Saturday as Inter hammered Verona 5-0.

Heavily linked with a summer exit, the 30-year-old rebuffed multiple foreign advances to stay at Giuseppe Meazza.

However, he has been a marginal figure in Inzaghi’s plans this season.

Indeed, before Saturday’s game, he had only collected 38 minutes of Serie A action in 2024/25.

Correa’s troubling status led many to believe Inter would offload him in January.

But he may have earned a lifeline with a scintillating performance against Paolo Zanetti’s side.

In addition to breaking the deadlock with a well-taken goal, the Argentine picked up two assists.

“I think it’s better to have others come along with you. He’s phenomenal at this,” Trevisani was adamant.

“Did you see how his teammates responded to Correa? The same thing happened with Arnautovic when he missed the goal against Atletico Madrid.

“In this, he’s remarkable. I say that if he always had everyone available, the same players would always play.

“There are many teams that stick to their untouchables. But he has them.

“If tomorrow there’s a final, we know who would play. But he makes an effort to bring others into the fold.

“It’s an approach that pays dividends if the team is set up the right way.

“It’s not something that always guarantees success.

“But he’s won seven trophies in three years because, when Lautaro is out for a month, you need to know if Correa can provide that assurance.

“Today, maybe Inter has secured a player for the January market. At his best, he’s the best of the three alternatives, but how often do we see his best?

“Today, everything seems easy because Inter won 5-0.

‘”But in the 13th minute, Acerbi got injured, the opponents hit the crossbar, and you were missing Lautaro, Dimarco, and Calhanoglu…”
