Bayern Munich produced a commanding performance against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena, asserting their authority early and translating their dominance into a deserved 3-2 win. However, the guests put the Bavarians under huge pressure in the final 20 minutes of the game - here is our full match report:

Match report:

There was a notable inclusion in Bayern’s starting eleven, as Jamal Musiala made his first start of the season, adding creativity and fluidity to an already formidable attacking setup. From the opening whistle, the hosts imposed themselves with relentless possession and aggressive pressing, leaving Frankfurt struggling to gain any meaningful foothold in the game during the opening stages.

For much of the first half, play was confined almost exclusively to Frankfurt’s half. Bayern circulated the ball confidently and controlled the tempo, though clear-cut chances were initially limited.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 16th minute through Aleksandar Pavlović. Following an extended and cleverly worked corner routine, the ball found its way to the midfielder at the edge of the box. Pavlović struck a clean volley that beat Frankfurt goalkeeper Santos, giving Bayern a deserved 1-0 advantage.

Bayern quickly built on their momentum: Harry Kane, who had been honored before kickoff for reaching the remarkable milestone of 500 career goals, added another shortly afterward. Michael Olise delivered an inviting ball into the box from a corner, and Kane rose to meet it with a precise header, scoring his 501st career goal and doubling Bayern’s lead.

Frankfurt found it extremely difficult to establish any attacking rhythm, as Bayern’s pressing and control suffocated their build-up play. The visitors were largely limited to defensive duties, with Bayern appearing capable of adding further goals.

After the break, Bayern maintained their aggressive approach and continued to push forward in search of another breakthrough. However, Frankfurt goalkeeper Santos produced several important saves to keep his side within reach, emerging as a crucial figure between the posts.

Bayern were then dealt a potential setback when Alphonso Davies was forced off due to injury and replaced by Hiroki Itō. The nature and severity of the injury remains unclear, raising concern for the Bavarians moving forward.

Frankfurt gradually improved as the second half progressed and began to grow into the contest. Substitute Burkardt came closest to reducing the deficit when he hit the post, signaling a more confident spell for the visitors.

However, just as Frankfurt were enjoying their best phase of the match, Bayern delivered a decisive blow in the 69th minute. Harry Kane struck again, this time showcasing his brilliance from distance. Receiving the ball outside the box, the striker unleashed a precise shot that flew into the far bottom-left corner, leaving Santos with no chance and finally giving Bayern their third goal of the evening.

Kane continued to be the main character of the day in Munich, as he accidentally hit Oscar Højlund in an attempt to clear the ball to award Frankfurt a penalty. Johnathan Burkardt stepped up and converted the penalty to get one back for the guests.

Bayern started to lose their cool in the dying minutes of the match: Kimmich played a crazy ball into his own box while Jonas Urbig was off his line. Kim didn't go towards it and the pass was intercepted by Frankfurt's Arnaud Kalimuendo, who tipped it into the goal. Only 3-2 to the Bavarians now!

Frankfurt gave it their all to try and snatch a late draw, but the Rekordmeister was able to stay put and bring the win home. Final result: FC Bayern 3-2 Eintracht Frankfurt.
