Tomorrow is a huge game for both Chelsea and Arsenal. Both sides desperately need three points to stay on track for their respective targets.

Interestingly, it’s a fixture that Liam Rosenior is already familiar with, having faced the Gunners twice in his first six weeks in charge in the EFL Cup semi finals. The third iteration is tomorrow, and the Chelsea boss was asked what he expected from his opposite number, Mikel Arteta:

“I have been impressed with him. The support he has received [from the club] is because, probably day in, day out, they see the great work that he does and they support the process with which he has worked.”

Rosenior there admits he has to earn the support and patience of fans and the ownership. In terms of the way Arsenal play, he also had some input.

“They are an incredibly well-coached team in every aspect of the game. Whether they press really high, they have compact shape in the low blocks, they are fantastic defensively, obviously set plays, they are well-coached and they play very good football as well.

“They are a very good team and that is why they are in the situation they are in at the moment. It is my job and the players’ job to try and find that weakness and try to enjoy what is going to be a really, really big game on Sunday.”

In other news…

Pedro Neto said in his interview today that Chelsea need to do better every year – they’re at real risk of taking a step back right now.
