According to a recent Foot Mercato report, RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain over a summer transfer.

Speaking ahead of the World Cup with Ivory Coast, the 19-year-old has fuelled speculation linking him with the French champions, revealing a strong personal connection to the club.

“I have loved PSG since I was a kid, but I am not looking ahead to my future. I am staying focused on the World Cup, then we will see,” Diomande said, according to L’Équipe.

Elaborating via Téléfoot, Diomande added:

“It would be a pleasure for me to come and play here for one of the biggest clubs. It’s always a pleasure to come here, and with the French language, I think adaptation wouldn’t be difficult, so why not. But at the end of the day, I'm still a Leipzig player."

The 19-year-old also expressed delight at seeing PSG win back-to-back Champions League titles.

“My father supported PSG, so yes, it was nice for me to see them win. Would it be nice to play for them as well? Yes, I like it, I like it.”

For now, however, Diomande insists his focus remains on the World Cup.

“I have a team that takes care of [my future]. I’m trying to stay as focused as possible,” Diomande said.

RB Leipzig managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer told Sport Bild on Wednesday that the club don't feel under pressure to sell the 19-year-old, who has no release clause and is under contract until 2030.

However, according to Bulinews sources, Leipzig could be tempted to sell if a truly extraordinary offer above €100 million arrives for their prized asset.
