Overlooked for club and country, and seemingly falling out of love with football, Jack Grealish has recaptured his mojo on loan at Everton - and the winger's stats this season make for interesting reading.

Introduced as a sub in the Toffees' opening day defeat to Leeds, Grealish has started every subsequent league game for David Moyes' side and currently leads the Premier League assist charts with four.

Joint-10th in the top tier for successful dribbles, with nine, Grealish has a spring in his step once more and his ability to progress the ball and retain possession in attacking areas has added genuine nous to Everton in the final third.

As might be expected, Grealish (22) tops the Premier League for free-kicks won this term, but perhaps more surprising is that the former Aston Villa wideman leads the entire division for key passes made (also with 17).

The 30-year-old has also racked up more ball carries ending in a chance (8) than any of his Premier League peers to underline how big a threat he poses for the Merseysiders.

Tuchel: Grealish is close to his 'best version'

Crystal Palace, the only team still unbeaten in the Premier League in 2025/26, are next up for August's Premier League Player of the Month - and Grealish still has much to prove after his exclusion from Thomas Tuchel's latest England squad.

His numbers so far this season speak to Grealish's standards, however, and Tuchel notably had some encouraging words for the player on Friday.

"Jack is very close to being the best version of himself," said the Three Lions head coach. "A very special player and a very special character, there is no problem at all and there is no personal problem."
