Jack Harrison has hailed his move to MLS side New England Revolution as the best signing of his career after ending eight years with Leeds United last month. According to Leeds Live, the 29-year-old joined for an undisclosed fee and was unveiled at Gillette Stadium before 34,000 fans.

He played more than 200 games at Elland Road and was pivotal in Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion. After relegation in 2023 he left on loan, spent two seasons at Everton, returned following Daniel Farke’s promotion, then moved to Fiorentina on loan in January after limited minutes.

A return to MLS had long been likely for Harrison, who began his senior career at New York City FC. He said the reception was unlike anything he had experienced on the pitch.

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, he moved to the United States at 14, attended Berkshire School and returned to England in January 2018 on loan at Middlesbrough. He described this as a homecoming and said those formative years shaped him, adding he had no regrets about leaving England.

New England regard him as a marquee addition for their Eastern Conference push. General manager and chief soccer officer Chris Tierney highlighted Harrison’s attacking dynamism, character and cultural fit, noting the importance of personality in Designated Player roles. They play Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
