Jadon Sancho ‘open to’ Borussia Dortmund return as free agent | OneFootball

Jadon Sancho is a free agent after leaving Manchester United, and Bild reports that he remains hopeful of rejoining Borussia Dortmund for a third spell.

The former England international is open to the move but would need to accept a significant salary cut to return to Signal Iduna Park. It remains unclear whether Dortmund intend to proceed.

Sancho joined United from Dortmund for a reported €85 million five years ago. He departs after a disappointing stint, having last played regularly in the 2022/23 campaign.

Since then, he has reached all three European finals with Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa while on loan.

Aston Villa, managed by Unai Emery, are closing in on the signing of his former team-mate Alejandro Garnacho, which has ended hopes of a permanent move to Villa for Sancho. He featured in 39 games last season.
