Jaume Domènech will return in goal for Valencia’s Legends on 13 June 2026 at 19:00, at Catadau’s Campo Municipal Pascual Bernat.
According to Superdeporte, the tribute will reunite former Valencia players against a veterans selection from the Mancomunitat, celebrating the slogan 'Les llegendes tornen' and honouring the much-loved goalkeeper.
Domènech retired on eight September 2025, a decade after his first-team debut at El Molinón. He played 122 official games, the club’s 11th most for a goalkeeper, and was instrumental in the 2019 Copa del Rey triumph and the 2022 final run.
He will pull on the gloves for the first time since leaving elite football, lining up for the Valencia Legends side, coordinated by the Asociación de Futbolistas del Valencia CF. The event aims to spotlight the history, values and legacy of Valencian football, with supporters invited to enjoy familiar names in a family-friendly setting.
The occasion doubles as the first formal tribute to Domènech’s sporting and personal contribution across 2015 to 2025, when he guarded Valencia’s goal and served as a captain and academy example. His commitment, professionalism and closeness to supporters have made him a reference figure for fans and peers. He also sits on the board of the players’ association.
