The club said in a statement on Tuesday that Javier Mascherano has stepped down as Inter Miami head coach for personal reasons, four months after delivering their first MLS title.
Appointed in November 2024, the former Argentina international guided Miami to that breakthrough success in December.
The 41-year-old also led the club at last year's Club World Cup, where Lionel Messi's side became the first MLS franchise to reach the knockout stage.
He will always remember their first title, will keep wishing the club the best for the future, and is convinced Miami will continue to enjoy success.
Guillermo Hoyos takes over. The former Argentina midfielder, 62, had been overseeing Miami's professional development structure.
