Under the Friday night lights, Leeds United produced a superb performance to defeat visitors Nottingham Forest 3-1 and earn a fourth win in their last seven matches at Elland Road.

Defender Jayden Bogle scored the Whites’ opener following a brilliant run in behind the Reds’ defence, before Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealed the three points.

The goal is Bogle’s first in the Premier League for United and after the game he explained how important the deserved victory is for the team.

“That was a massive result for us,” the full-back said. “You can see what it meant to everyone on the pitch, off the pitch, the fans.

“I think the mentality from the boys was unbelievable. We knew going into the game that that was going to be a main factor. It was going to be a fight.

“We knew it was going to be horrible at times but when we could show our quality and dominate parts of the game, we did today.

“I have been waiting a while for that goal, working on runs in behind. Luckily, today, I was found by a great pass and then just tried to stay calm and composed.

“The win is a nice feeling but in this league anything can happen. There are top teams all around so we just to take it game by game, that is it.”
