Jeglertz nominated for WSL Manager of the Month | OneFootball

Andrée Jeglertz has been shortlisted for the September Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award.

The Swede oversaw three victories from our four matches in his first month in charge of City.

Following a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on the opening day of the WSL season, the Blues picked up wins over Brighton, Tottenham Hotspur and London City Lionesses to sit third in the table.

We scored an impressive 11 goals during that time, with the Swede’s expansive and free-flowing football a key factor in that success.

A hard-fought 2-1 win over Brighton in our first home match of the season was followed by a convincing 5-1 triumph at Tottenham Hotspur, who were yet to concede in the WSL before City’s visit.

And a third win of the month was then secured in style with a 4-1 win against London City Lionesses at the Joie Stadium, with the Blues racing into a two-goal lead inside 14 minutes before two Shaw penalties in the second half.
