Jesse Lingard visited Fazendinha on Friday as the Brabas beat Ferroviária, matching a gesture previously made by only one player from Corinthians’ men’s team.
According to Meu Timao, defender Murillo, a Corinthians academy graduate now in the Premier League, did so in 2023, attending and praising Vic Albuquerque online. He said he was there to support the team, noted the women’s game is growing, and that the ground brought back memories.
Lingard took his daughter, Hope, to the Brabas’ home and walked out alongside Gabi Zanotti before kick-off. The day before, he visited the women’s training session, where Hope joined activities with the players.
Links between the men’s and women’s sides have been rebuilt gradually in recent months. Initiatives include the new kit launch, which brought male and female players together in a single campaign.
At the ground he greeted staff and supporters, posed for photos and spent time with those present. From a box, he watched the full 90 minutes of the Brabas’ win.
