Newly-signed Barcelona star Joan García has this week spoken publicly for the first time since sealing a Camp Nou switch.
The name of goalkeeper Joan has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent days.
This comes after the 24-year-old’s long-awaited move to the aforementioned Barcelona was at last made official.
After the Blaugrana deposited Joan’s Espanyol release clause with La Liga, an announcement was unveiled across the club’s social media platforms, as follows:
‘FC Barcelona have activated the release clause of player Joan Garcia. The cost of the clause was 25 million euros plus CPI.’
Joan, in turn, will put pen to paper on his contract during a ceremony in Barcelona early on Friday.
And as alluded to above, ahead of as much, the Spaniard on Thursday night spoke for the very first time as a member of Hansi Flick’s squad.
In quotes secured by Jijantes, Joan assured:
“I am happy, very happy, I also really want (to sign the contract) and I am very happy.”
