Joan Laporta confirms date for Barcelona's Adeyemi announcement | OneFootball

FC Barcelona will complete the signing of Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday. The president of the Spanish giants confirmed the news on his return from the United States following the World Cup final.

According to Joan Laporta, the deal will be announced tomorrow. The German international has already completed the medical check as he's been waiting for the official confirmation in Barcelona since last week. Some reports even mentioned he has already met Barcelona’s players in addition to Hansi Flick.

This is not the first time Laporta talked about the deal, with a €22 million fixed fee plus €7-9 million easily achievable bonuses reported by several outlets. “We’re very excited about Adeyemi. We’ve liked him for a while. He’s dangerous and fast.” said Laporta on July 13th in Dallas.

FC Barcelona’s coach Flick gave Adeyemi his international debut at the age of 19 when he was Germany's head coach. The Catalans are also closing on another transfer coup as 18-year-old winger Jesse Bisiou is set to join them from Club Brugge.
