Premier League sides have joined the race for Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes, with the club braced for bids this month.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have shown strong interest, but Gomes favours England, with Manchester United still keen and Crystal Palace newly involved.
Wolves are also close to an agreement with Besiktas for Emmanuel Agbadou, a loan initially then a permanent move for around €15m, with an accord said to be in place with the player.
Defeat to Middlesbrough and a spot just above the Championship drop zone underline West Brom’s need to act in this window. With only the manager arriving so far, defensive and midfield additions are required, with attacking help a bonus.
Albion continue to be linked with goalkeepers, including a target in Mexico, and Sunderland’s Anthony Patterson, who looks to be moving away this month.
Besiktas are seeking player swaps involving two Aston Villa players as they try to force through a Tammy Abraham deal. Villa want the Roma loanee back from his spell in Türkiye, a bid has gone in but the situation is complicated by Besiktas’ agreement with Roma. Evan Guessand has been floated for Türkiye, while Lamare Bogarde is the other name mentioned.
Villa are reportedly weighing up Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. The 25-year-old joined AC Milan in 2020 before a £15m switch to Turin, and Villa have emerged as strong contenders.
