Joao Mario has arrived in Tuscany to complete the final formalities of a move from Juventus to Fiorentina. The Portuguese full-back is joining on a season-long loan that includes an option to buy.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Fiorentina will pay a €1m loan fee with a €9m option to make the deal permanent.

Footage on Monday showed the 26-year-old in Florence for his medical and to finalise the remaining paperwork at Viola Park.

He joined Juventus last summer in a €12m switch from Porto, making 10 Serie A appearances before a loan to Bologna in an exchange that saw Emil Holm move the other way.

Joao Mario has three Portugal caps, with none since 2024.
