João Pinheiro appointed to referee Benfica v Porto | OneFootball

The Portuguese Football Federation’s Refereeing Committee announced that João Pinheiro will take charge of Benfica v Porto in the 25th round of Liga Portugal Betclic.

The clássico is scheduled for Estádio da Luz. Appointments for the entire round were also released, with Braga v Sporting among the standout ties.

Pinheiro’s team will include assistants Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia, with Hélder Carvalho as fourth official.

Luís Ferreira is assigned to VAR, supported by Valdemar Maia as AVAR.

Benfica arrive on four consecutive league wins and are looking to reduce the gap to the top. In the build-up, José Mourinho will be without Fredrik Aursnes, with the midfielder sidelined by injury.
