Joel Piroe thanks Leeds fans after first Premier League season | OneFootball

Leeds United forward Joel Piroe has thanked supporters in an end-of-season message after making his Premier League debut.

The player said in a post on Instagram: "Premier League football has always been a dream. Thanks to your support, we had a great season at the highest level. Grateful for everyone who stood by us throughout the season."

Piroe began the campaign as the previous season's Championship Golden Boot winner, yet he had not featured in the Premier League before this term.

Following the arrival of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, his league opportunities were limited to 246 minutes, though he welcomed realising that Premier League ambition.

Leeds completed their first season back in the top flight with 47 points and finished 14th, an outcome Piroe saluted in his message.
