Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies named in Canada’s World Cup squad | OneFootball

Jonathan David of Juventus and Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich have been named in Canada’s 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July. According to L'Équipe, the co-hosts confirmed the selection on Friday.

Head coach Jesse Marsch has also called up Ligue 1 pair Derek Cornelius of Marseille and Moïse Bombito of Nice. Davies is continuing thigh treatment in Germany and should join the squad on Sunday.

Canada face Uzbekistan on one June and Ireland on five June in warm-up matches. They begin their Group B campaign on 12 June against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto, with Qatar and Switzerland also in the section.

Goalkeepers: Maxime Crépeau (Orlando), Dayne St. Clair (Inter Miami), Owen Goodman (Crystal Palace).

Midfielders: Stephen Eustaquio (FC Porto), Ismaël Koné (Sassuolo), Tajon Buchanan (Villarreal), Mathieu Choinière (Los Angeles FC), Ali Ahmed (Norwich), Nathan Saliba (Anderlecht), Liam Millar (Hull City), Marcelo Flores (Tigres), Jacob Shaffelburg (Los Angeles FC), Jonathan Osorio (Toronto).
