Jorge Jesus will be at the Maracanã on Saturday to watch Flamengo v Coritiba, and has outlined his plans after leaving Al Nassr.
"Now I am looking for another challenge. I intend to keep adding, which is why I will only work with those who can fight for trophies. Approaches from various teams are arriving and, fortunately, I have good options for 2026/27. I will use the next few weeks to visit friends I left in Rio de Janeiro and then carefully consider my next challenge," he told Record.
Jesus is without a club after winning the Saudi title with Al Nassr. He has said he accepted the job only to ensure Cristiano Ronaldo lifted a trophy in the country, and will now weigh up the invitations arriving.
On social media, some Flamengo supporters have called for his return. Current coach Leonardo Jardim says he is a friend of the 2019 Libertadores winner and is untroubled by talk of change.
Jardim added that he invited Jesus for lunch at Ninho do Urubu and does not see ghosts in football. He said he experienced the same scenario at Monaco, where he was the only champion in the last 40 years, and that contracts change when boards decide, so there is no stress.
