Jorge Mendes ‘to push’ Wolves move for Portuguese right-back Rodrigo Pinheiro | OneFootball

Wolves have turned to recruitment after appointing Cesar Peixoto on a two-year deal, with Famalicao right-back Rodrigo Pinheiro in their sights.

According to Molineux.news, technical director Matt Jackson has travelled to Portugal to meet Jorge Mendes and Peixoto as plans are drawn up for a Premier League return. Mendes is described as central to Wolves’ summer work and is pushing to land Pinheiro despite rival interest, aiming to make Molineux his preferred option.

Peixoto’s arrival followed a chaotic week, and he is now formally in charge at Molineux.

Pinheiro made 29 appearances for Famalicao in 2025/26, scored three goals and provided a couple of assists, playing just over 2,500 minutes.

The move for a specialist right-back could hint at an eventual departure on that side of the squad.
