However, with a third offer widely reported as imminent, Wolves Manager Vitor Pereira accepted late on Tuesday night that Jorgen Strand Larsen may well leave in the remaining days of this window.

Asked if the Norway international would still be a Wolves player after the transfer window ends, Pereira admitting; “I don’t know, I’m not the owner. Until now, Jorgen is our player, we’ll see what happens. Football is football and every player has a price.”

Over in Norway, the media there are collectively reporting that they expect Jorgen Strand Larsen to sign for Newcastle United in these next few days.

The striker’s agent, Tore Pedersen, now working in England to try and get the 25 year old the move to Tyneside that he wants.

Norway are looking nailed on to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals and have a maximum 12 points after winning the first four of eight group qualifier matches, including hammering Italy 3-0.

That looks sure to become 15 points from five group games as Norway are home to bottom of the table Moldova on Tuesday 9 September. Jorgen Strand Larsen is part of the squad for Norway’s September internationals, they also have a friendly against Finland on Thursday 4 September.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken has given his verdict on the potential Jorgen Strand Larsen move from Molineux to St James’ Park:

“I haven’t spoken to Jørgen but this is a dream situation for him.

“He plays in the Premier League anyway and suits both clubs.

“Newcastle play mostly with one striker and put in a lot of crosses and have wingers with pace.

“So, he will probably fit well (at Newcastle United).
