José Alberto to miss Castellón trip after surgery, Pablo Álvarez to lead Racing | OneFootball

José Alberto López, head coach of Real Racing Club, will miss Saturday’s 21:00 trip to CD Castellón at SkyFi Castalia after surgery on Wednesday for a vascular complication.

The club said in a statement that the surgery was planned but required emergency assistance, that he is well and resting, and wished him a swift recovery.

He will be assessed again next week to determine when he can resume his daily duties.

He will remain on medical leave in the coming days.

In his absence, Pablo Álvarez will act as first-team coach for the match. Racing are leaders of the division.
