With Santa Rosa’s victory over Colón de San Justo and the draw between Unión and La Salle Jobson, Matchday 4 of the Polaca Burtovoy Apertura Tournament got underway.

In an intense week packed with competition in the Santa Fe League, the fourth round of the Apertura in Primera A José Luis Burtovoy featured two early matches. At the Nery Pumpido grounds, Deportivo Santa Rosa defeated Colón de San Justo, while at La Tatenguita, Unión and La Salle Jobson could not be separated and ended in a scoreless draw.

The rest of the schedule will be completed this Saturday, April 11, highlighted by the clash between league leaders Sportivo Guadalupe and Colón de Santa Fe. Other matchups of note include Gimnasia against Universidad in Ciudadela.

One win and one draw in the early Polaca Burtovoy Apertura fixtures

The José Luis Burtovoy tournament organized by the Santa Fe League keeps moving forward; every point at stake is important in the fight for the top spots, and in other cases some teams are beginning to settle in and post positive results. At the Nery Pumpido grounds, Deportivo Santa Rosa stunned Colón de San Justo and beat them 3-1 under referee Ignacio Castellano.

In a very intense but entertaining contest, end to end, there is no doubt it was a historic victory for the La Casita side in its first year in the league’s top division. It will be an unforgettable date, because on April 10, 2026, Deportivo Santa Rosa won its first match in the league’s top flight. Zacarías Mustafá scored his first goal in the first division.

Maximiliano Osurak opened the scoring, before Nicolás Cappelletti—former Agua y Energía and La Perla del Oeste player—grabbed the temporary equalizer. Later came goals from Ricardo Acosta and Zacarías Mustafá to give victory to the team coached by Osmar Martínez. The opponent was no minor one, as it is one of the biggest winners in history, but this time the Conquistador was far from the level it usually shows and lost without excuse. Osvaldo Arroyo and visiting coach Mauricio Chiementín were sent off.

For Matchday 3, next Wednesday, April 15, Deportivo Santa Rosa will visit Las Flores II at Alberto Garau Stadium, while it is still unknown what will happen—most likely it will be postponed—with the match between Colón de San Justo and Colón de Santa Fe, since the Sabalero is expected to play the first leg of the Copa Túnel Subfluvial quarterfinals against Universidad del Litoral in Colonia San José. On Matchday 5, La Casita will visit Cosmos, while the Conquistador will host Juventud Unida de Candioti.

Meanwhile, at the Tatenguita grounds alongside the Santa Fe-Rosario highway, Unión de Santa Fe and La Salle Jobson could not be separated and finished 0-0 under referee Nicolás Mottier. For the Colegial side, Facundo Romero and Mateo Basilio were shown red cards, while Juan Silvestro, Matías Peia De Sordi, Facundo Silvestro, and Juan Fiorenza were booked. For the home side, Gael Gancedo, Simón Bigoy, and David Fernández were cautioned.

Unión must play its first-leg Copa Túnel Subfluvial quarterfinal match away to Neuquén, and on Matchday 5 of the league competition it will visit Ciclón Norte in Cayastá. The Colegial side, in the next round, will host Newell’s of the Roma neighborhood in Cabaña Leiva.
