A number of Real Madrid players could depart before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month, with Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga and Franco Mastantuono having all been linked with moves away. Brahim Diaz is another that is attracting interest, and his place in the first team will be under threat once Yan Diomande arrives.
Brahim was not a regular starter for Real Madrid last season, and with Bernardo Silva being signed and Diomande set to follow, he has dropped down the pecking order on the right side of attack. This has alerted Juventus, who are keen to bring the Morocco international back to Italy, where he previously spent three years with AC Milan.
However, the chances of Brahim leaving Real Madrid this summer are slim, with Diario AS reporting that head coach Jose Mourinho is counting on the 27-year-old. Despite having Silva, Diomande, Rodrygo and Endrick as competition, he’s considered to be an important squad player for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Although he’s never been a regular starter for a prolonged period of time, Brahim has generally impressed whenever he’s played for Real Madrid. 20 goals and 22 assists in 142 appearances is a decent return – especially when consider he’s come on as a substitute in many of those matches – and he has earned the right to decide his own future, rather than being forced out of the Bernabeu.
Until now, Brahim has shown no desire to leave Real Madrid, and that is likely to be the case for the remainder of the summer. Barring a big change, he will be one more in the squad for the 2026-27 season, and with many games to come across the next nine months, he will surely have a big part to play.
