One can reasonably expect there to be some significant changes as Jose Mourinho returns to Real Madrid after a gap of 13 years. Tomorrow, on 13th July, he will once again take charge of the Merengue team’s training, and will be looking to prove he still has the capabilities to succeed at the highest level in Europe.

Keeping in view the persona that the Portuguese manager has cultivated over the years, there was a feeling that he would be returning to the Spanish capital with a clear set of demands, and would be looking to get a lot of leeway to work out his plans with the team.

While this is true to some extent, it is also true that the Special One has changed quite a bit over the years. While making some clear demands to the club, he is also willing to adapt, and to work with resources that are already available at Real Madrid.

As Diario AS has noted, this is quite clear from his willingness to work with Antonio Pintus, who is a club employee, the general coordinator of performance for all teams and categories. The Italian fitness coach has now joined Mourinho’s staff, and the two individuals have decided to work together for the Merengue team’s benefit.

Although the Italian has been at Real Madrid for quite some time now, Mourinho and Pintus did not get to work together during the Portuguese manager’s first stint with Los Blancos. There are only a few club employees left who worked with the new coach during his previous term, one of them being Chendo, who will continue to work as the team delegate.

Hopefully, this partnership between two individuals whose credentials are beyond any doubt would last a long time and bear a lot of fruit for Real Madrid, as the Merengues look to mitigate the problems that have been haunting their team for the last few years.
